Muscat City Tour Half day sightseing tour around Muscat city
We start our tour at Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a magnificent architectural complex. Its furnishings are the grandest you will find anywhere in the region. The construction is outstanding and is a must see on anyone's agenda.
Our next point of interest is Royal Opera House Muscat. Here we proceed on foot and enjoy a guided tour inside of this beautiful theatre.
After a short stop at Quram corniche for some photos, we proceed to Muttrah and have a short visit to famous Fish market. We then walk along the corniche and reach an ancient Muttrah Souk. It houses a wide selection of gold, silver, spices, pashminas, hubbly-bubbly pipes, old guns, fabrics and bric-a-brac. The labyrinth of alleyways are many; most of the souk would remain undiscovered after hours.
The unique part of Old Muscat is awaiting! Here we proceed on foot, walking around the Al Alam Palace with its fairytail towers in gold and blue.
We visit Mirani Fort and drive back to your hotel.
